Mercy with a Mission will begin a drive to collect various cleaning supplies to help residents of Thurman Brisben Shelter and Hope House. Any cleaning products are welcome. Some suggested items are: paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, trash bags, Windex, and dishwashing liquid. Cleaning products are especially helpful to those in need because they are unable to purchase such items with food stamps.

Several from our church gather each month to prepare dinner for the Thurman Brisben Shelter. The shelter is located at 471 Central Road in Fredericksburg.

The Truth Project is a 12 session Christian Worldview course. This fantastic series produced by Focus on the Family will challenge your beliefs as we look at the world God created and contrast the "wisdom" of our age with the Eternal Truth of God. Beginning Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 in mid-September.
Thursday-Saturday, September 16-18
Men's White Water Rafting Trip
Fayetteville, West Virginia
Sponsored by the The Corps (men's ministry). This event will be rafting down the Gauley River near Fayetteville. Cost is $170 per person, this price includes lodging, meals, rafting, and lots of fun. There will be a $50 non-refundable deposit.

Co-Ed Softball
Ni River Community Church will have a co-ed softball league beginning in the fall. There will be a softball meeting on August 29 following the Sunday service for those who have previously contacted Tim. Our first practice will be Setember 1 at Melchers. You must sign the official roster on the 29th or the 1st at Melchers.
